Born and raised in Campbell River B.C., I started fishing the local area at a very, very young age. My father was a Campbell River fishing guide in the 1960’s so I was catching my limit of Salmon at the age of 4 (With lots of help from my Mom and Dad of course). I started guiding for The Dolphins Resort in 1972 when I was 14 years old and by the time I was 18 years old I had 1000s of hours of guiding under my belt and had successfully guided clients who caught Salmon as big as 54 1/2 pounds. I fished for over 20 years as a Dolphins resort guide before starting my own independent business. I am a member of the Tyee Club of British Columbia having rowed and registered many 30 lb fish for my guests under club rules. I have vast Knowledge of the local waters and tides plus my enthusiasm is the same today as it was 52 years ago. I am one of the Most experienced Professional fishing guides on the coast and along with my wife Roberta, I invite you and welcome you to fish with my Fishing Charter company Peniuk’s Sportfishing in Campbell River.
